ArcWIP installs straight from the web — no app store account, no download, no waiting on IT. Once it is on the home screen it opens full screen and keeps working when the signal drops.

Android (Chrome)

  1. 1Open arcwip.app in Chrome and sign in.
  2. 2Tap the three dots at the top right.
  3. 3Tap Install app (some phones say Add to Home screen), then Install.
  4. 4Open it from the new ArcWIP icon. When it asks to allow notifications and location, say yes — those are what make the shutter stamp the job and the messages arrive.

iPhone / iPad (Safari)

  1. 1Open arcwip.app in Safari. This does not work from Chrome on an iPhone — Apple only allows Safari to add to the home screen.
  2. 2Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  4. 4Open ArcWIP from the home-screen icon — not from Safari. Notifications and the camera only work from the installed icon on an iPhone.

The clock-only icon (ArcClock)

A crew member who only punches in and out can install arcwip.app/clockin the same way. It installs as its own ArcClock icon that opens straight on the punch screen and queues punches with no signal.
